In 1969, she was born in Ankara. In 1991, she graduated with a nursing degree from Hacettepe University. Between 1994 and 1996, she completed both her master's and PhD studies at Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences. In the department of internal medicine nursing, she joined the Hacettepe University Faculty of Nursing in 2012 as an associate professor. In 2019, she was given the title of professor. She works as the department head and a professor in the same subject right now. She is married and has two children. Her specialties include "internal medicine nursing, oncology nursing, and geriatric nursing." She continues to serve on numerous committees and is a member of the Turkish Nurses Association, the Oncology Nursing Association, and the Geriatric Nursing Association (founder member and president).
