Short Biography
Dr Erden Atilla graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2003. He completed Internal Diseases and Hematology specialization in the same institution and continued his professional development on the basis of continuous education.
Between 2016-2020, he continued his academic studies on immunotherapy and directed cellular therapies at Baylor College of Medicine, Center for Cell and Gene Therapy, USA. He received the title of associate professor in the field of hematology in 2019. Since 2021, he has been carrying out joint projects with the University of Granada, Spain and Baylor Faculty of Medicine,USA and simultaneously he is pursuing a Ph.D. in immunology at the University of Granada.
In recent years, detailed progress in in vivo experimental systems has enabled the development of disease and cellular treatment models with similar genetic structures in the field of immunology. This progress also allows for the examination of combined immunotherapy systems in the context of transplant immunology in bone marrow transplantation.
Dr.Erden Atilla is working on animal models to elucidate the efficacy and toxicity mechanisms of chimeric antigenic receptor therapies and their potential use. He is currently continues his research working on animal models of stem cell transplantation and directed T cell therapies at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, USA.
