Hakan AKBULUT

Hakan Akbulut was born in Sivas-Suşehri in 1964. He completed his primary education in Suşehri, middle school in Samsun, and high school education in Ankara. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1988. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at Ankara SSK Dışkapı Hospital between 1988 and 1993. He completed his Medical Oncology subspecialty training between 1993 and 1995 at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Oncology. He became associate professor in 1996 and professor in 2002. Between 2001 and 2008, he worked as a visiting researcher in the field of cancer gene therapy at Yale University and Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in the United States. He has been working as a faculty member in the Department of Medical Oncology at Ankara University since 1996. He has been serving as the Director of Ankara University Cancer Research Institute since 2018.
