Şuayib YALÇIN

Prof Yalçın graduated from Darüşşafaka High School in 1983, in the meantime he graduated from the United States with the AFS (American Field Service) program in 1982. Having graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1989, Yalçın completed his education in internal medicine and then oncology at Hacettepe University. He studied digestive system cancers at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, USA. He participated in many national and international studies and has publications in many scientific journals. He became an associate professor of Internal Medicine-Oncology in 1998 and professor in 2004. He is the former president of the Medical Oncology Association, Prof. Dr. Şuayib Yalçın is still the President of the Turkish Cancer Research and Control Association. Yalçın, who has many international memberships; today he is an active member of ASCO, ESMO, IASGO and MMOF.
