She graduated from Akyurt Health College in 1997 and was born in Ankara in 1979. She was employed at the Pediatric Hematology Clinic at Istanbul University's Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine from 1998 to 2002. She has worked as the responsible nurse at the Lösante Hospital's Pediatric Hematology Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit since 2002. Korucu worked as a volunteer for three months in field hospitals in Gölcük and Adapazar during the 1999 earthquake and has a Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit Nursing Certificate from the Health Ministry. She is particularly interested in hematology nursing and bone marrow transplantation.
